Airstream Jets adds innovative HondaJet to Jet Card Program. Texas gets two more DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs, Austin and Houston.
Boca Raton, FL – Airstream Jets has announced two new DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs airports and has also added the HondaJet to its jet card program.
HondaJet
The HondaJet HA-420 will be categorized as a Small Jet joining similar models such as the Embraer Phenom 100, Cessna M2 and CJ1.
The HondaJet is produced by Honda Aircraft Company and features an Over-The-Wing Engine Mount (OTWEM) design that reduces drag, improves speed and range and maximizes the size of the interior cabin. HondaJet received its FAA type certificate in late 2015 and was the recipient of Flying Magazine’s first Flying Innovation Award in 2017.
The HA-420 has a cabin volume of 228 cubic feet making it very comfortable for 4 passengers. It also features 66 cubic feet of luggage capacity, the most in its class.
New DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs
The state of Texas is the lucky recipient of new DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs (AUS) Austin Bergstrom International Airport and (HOU) Houston William P Hobby Airport. They join (DAL) Dallas Love Field to give Texas a total of three hubs.
“We have enjoyed considerable demand coming out of Texas for our Jet Card Program. More than a third of all our cardmembers are based in Texas. By making Austin and Houston DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs we are aiming to not only capitalize on this trend but also provide our existing Texas-based customers with an even greater value,” said Peter Maestrales, CEO of Airstream Jets.
New York and Illinois also have three Hubs each while Florida has the most at four. The full list of DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs can be found at (http://www.airstreamjets.com/jet-card/distance-card-hubs-airports/).
What is a Jet Card Hub? Cardmembers receive a 5% discount for any one-way, round trip or multi-leg trips that originate and terminate at any of the DISTANCE CARD™ Hubs Airports.
About the DISTANCE CARD™
Airstream Jets’ DISTANCE CARD™ features a 100% quantifiable cost model based on mileage rather than time, a first for the private jet industry. Traditionally, jet cards and fractional ownership programs base pricing off flight time (hours) which is a variable metric in private aviation. As a result, hourly programs offer very little flexibility with aircraft size and are typically loaded with hidden fees and surcharges.
On the other hand, because the distance between two points constant there are no surprises with the DISTANCE CARD™. Each trip is billed according to the distance traveled, using a simple formula (Total Miles x Price-Per-Mile = Total Cost) which is based on a ‘tiered price-per-mile system’ where rates decrease as travel distance increases. Furthermore, because the DISTANCE CARD™ works like a debit card, customers enjoy the freedom to move between aircraft categories and choose the most appropriate aircraft size for their travel on a trip-by-trip basis.
